- This is the first appearance of Lisa Rental.
- During the cliffhanger of chapter 1, Ben says chapter 2 would be called "Shear Terror", but the actual title is "To Bleat or Not To Bleat".
- It is unknown if the title of chapter 2 was changed during production and they forgot to change the line, or if it was intentional.
- Coincidently, there was a comic under the same name that was published in Cartoon Network Starring #17 on January 1st 2001.
- The concept of this episode would later be redone in Wish You Were Shear (2001) as a subplot.
